Hyacinthella, a rarely seen and grown bulbous genus, is predominantly found across Europe and Asia- with most species originating in Turkey.
Under cultivation the bulbs flower between the months of December and March, this can be dependant on moisture and temperature levels.
the flowers bring much needed colour during the winter and early spring months.
The collection is made up of different colour forms of certain species, which highlight the diversity of where the plants or seed were collected from.
The collection are housed in a polytunnel and displayed in a block built raised plunge bed. Each species is grown in its own terracotta pot.
