Pelargonium, subgenus Hoarea

Pelargonium subgenus Hoarea, is a stemless perenial with a tuberous root stock. 

A winter growing cycle and a dormancy period through the summer. 

The section is comprised of about 100 species

With many more species to be named and discovered 

Growing From Seed

Seed is best sown late summer and autumn. Sow the seed on top of an open seed compost and cover with a fine sand 

Seed can germinate within 10 days of sowing and under careful cultivation plants can flower the following year
